11/20/2015 0 Comments You Are Enough-Friday![]() By Melissa Holmlund You don’t have to compare your house, your car, or other “things” to what your friends have. Be hospitable with what you have. Be content and faithful with what you have. Love with what you have. I read about a lady who was so hospitable she had people in her home all of the time. She started out in a small apartment, then God provided a bigger home again and again as she and her husband were hospitable and acknowledged that all they had belonged to the Lord. Instead of comparing your home to your friends or neighbor’s homes, start thanking God for the home that you have. Let go of the “if only we had… or someday when…” and start being hospitable now. Your home doesn’t have to be Pinterest perfect to be a place of joy and peace and fun. Take what you have and dedicate it to the Lord. Ask the Father to show you how to make your home a sweet place for your children to grow in. Welcome people into your home and minister to them with your kindness and hospitality. They will remember the love you showed, not the imperfections or lack of space. Matthew 7:7-11 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give hima stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Thank God for all that he has given you! Thank him for your children, and for your home. Rejoice, TODAY knowing that you are the mother they need. Jesus loves you just as you are, and He will help you be all that He has called you to be. YOU ARE ENOUGH!
