2/16/2016 0 Comments What Does Love Look Like?~Tuesday![]() Imagine a woman who speaks with the tongues of men and angels. She can also prophesy, understands all mysteries, and is full of knowledge. She has faith so great that she can move mountains, and she has given all of her goods to feed the poor. What a woman! How gifted, selfless, and generous she is! However, there is a major problem with this woman. This woman great in gifting, great in service, doesn’t have love. First Corinthians 13:1-3 says, “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.” Have you ever known anyone who seemed to be great in the faith, seemed to be full of gifts and service, yet when you got close to him or her you didn’t see the evidences of genuine love? Have you ever known anyone who seemed small and insignificant, yet when you got close to him or her you felt so loved and so cared for that they looked like Jesus to you? John 13:35 says, “By this all will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” Read through 1 Corinthians 13 again. Are you demonstrating the agape love of Jesus to those around you? Do you show the love of Jesus in your kindness, your humility, or in your endurance? Thank the Holy Spirit for correcting you and teaching you. YOU ARE LOVED! Author: Melissa Holmlund
