![]() We can look at the love list in 1 Corinthians 13 as we parent our children. Oftentimes, I struggle with love that suffers long, or as some translations put it, love that is patient. I find myself getting impatient with my children. When this happens, I can ask God for help. I can ask him to give me His love for my children and to give me patience and endurance. When I struggle with fear concerning the future of my children, I remember that love hopes all things and believes all things. I can have hope for my children’s future. I can believe that God who began a good work in them will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus (Philippians 1:6). I can believe God’s Word when He says to train up a child in the way that he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). How do you show your children love? Look at the love list in 1 Corinthians 13. Examine your love for your children according to the verses given. Where do you need God’s help? God is faithful to answer our prayers for help!
