As queen of my home, I am responsible for teaching my children the Word of God. I am responsible for feeding, clothing, and caring for them. As a mother, I am a leader in every sense of the word. I am also an organizer, a planner, and a nurse. I am a teacher, a negotiator, a counselor, and a chauffeur. I am an event coordinator, a therapist, a mentor, and a guard. I am an art critic, a visionary, a fashion consultant, a journalist, and a personal shopper, just to name a few of my roles.
My words bring life to my family. My actions and attitudes affect the atmosphere of my home and of my kingdom.
Romans 14:7 tells us that the Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
How can we model the kingdom of God in our homes?
When we think about all of the jobs we do as mothers and queens of our homes, how are we demonstrating the righteousness, peace, and joy of the Holy Spirit?
Father, we long for your rule and reign in our homes! We want to honor you as we raise our children. May your kingdom come, and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven! May your kingdom come, your will be done in our homes! Help us to walk in righteousness peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit as we go about our day-to-day tasks. Thank you for hearing our prayers for help. In Jesus’ name we pray.
