Out of My Control ~ Tuesday

Picture

By: Liz Giertz

When we don’t get what we want, it can be tempting to think God doesn’t care about meeting our needs, but God cares more about our eternal need than our immediate desires.

“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it” (Hebrews 12: 11).
When circumstances seem unfavorable or unpleasant, consider that God is training you to live in His righteousness.

Let go and let Him mold you.

What things are you trying desperately to control in your own life?

Are there things that feel out of your control right now?

How can this situation shape and mold you into God’s image?

Trials are a great way of learning spiritual attributes. Faith, patience, perseverance, gratitude and the list can go on.
They're the leap of faith that we need to prove that we're capable of laying our lives in God's hands, do what we can do, and allow the God of the Impossible the we love bless us.
They're wonderful opportunities to love God more that we should be grateful for.
