It is not for us to understand God’s ways or His timing. But we are to trust Him and carry His message of grace and love throughout the world no matter what our circumstance may be.
In order to do this, we must surrender and be humble. We have to give up our desires and trust God to give us what we need. When we do this, He will exalt us in due time.
In our humility He gives us grace and welcomes us into His family. His family - could anything possibly be better?
James 4:1-10 talks about the way pride infiltrates our relationships and creates strife. God reminds us that if we want our requests to be granted, we must make our requests to Him according to His will, because when we ask according to our desires, the answer will be no. God resists us when we think we know best, but we receive grace from Him when we admit that He knows best.
What can you do right now to give God more authority in your life?
