My sister, may these scriptures fall afresh on our hearts, and may Jesus who demonstrated the ultimate example of forgiveness give us the strength and courage to let go of any transgressions that may be holding us hostage, keeping us from a life of pure unadulterated freedom. And, may we trust Jesus with the forgiveness of our own mistakes and regrets. May we surrender, forgive ourselves, and watch with hopeful expectancy as He redeems and restores the broken places of our lives… He is good… And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, on on His right and one on His left. And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do… (Luke 23:33-34) But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. (Luke: 6:27) Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31-32) And as they continued to ask Him, He stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” (John 8:7) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) For Godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas sorrow brings death. (2 Corinthians 7:10) If anything matters then everything matters. Because you are important, everything you do is important. Every time you forgive, the universe changes… (William Paul Young) There are a lot of bad things in life that are evil. Not everything that happens in this world is God’s will, but that’s why we need God in our lives. So forgiveness isn’t forgetting what happened, it’s about finding what good came out of it.
