Sometimes the bad intel comes from external sources - wrong teaching, wrong doctrine, wrong theology. But most often, the problem comes from within.
Our internal GPS system is steering us in the wrong direction. Unfortunately, it often feels like the right direction. Somewhere along the way, hurts and disappointments get lodged in our hearts. We begin to make assumptions about God and ourselves based on our experiences.
But because we can only see part of the story, our experiences can deceive us into wrong thinking and wrong believing. So we make some wrong turns. We end up stuck in some dead ends. And the worst part is we have no idea how we got there or how to get out. God is longing to show us the truth about who He is and who we are; He wants to remove all the wrong ways of thinking that keep us running in circles. Today, let’s listen to this song and make it our prayer of repentance and the cry of our hearts for more of Him!
“Praise be to the Lord for He has heard my cry for mercy! The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy and with my song I praise him.”
